The application of geophysical methods to any given site is based on a good understanding of the physical properties being measured and the site geology, as well as the limitations of the instruments. As each geophysical method measures a unique physical property of the earth, it is often beneficial to combine two or more methods to provide a better understanding of subsurface conditions.
